Probably the biggest advantage for us in being a finalist in the export awards was the media exposure we received.
We fish in the waters around Fraser Island to catch an amazing crab species unique to Queensland. As a Sunshine Coast business marketing a wild-caught seafood product around the world, the awards were a great opportunity to tell more people the story of our product and our business.
We also use the finalist’s logo in our email signature and we feel it continues to boost our brand – it’s external recognition of us as a company. The last 12 months have been a challenging time for all Australian seafood exporters, so that extra bit of credibility is very welcome.
